On December 10, 39-year-old Sherrone Moore, a married father of three, was fired as head coach of the Michigan Wolverines following an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Later that day, Moore was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, home invasion, and stalking after allegedly entering the apartment of his executive assistant, Paige Shiver, confronting her, and threatening to kill himself. He spent two nights in jail before being released on a $25,000 bond and has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which carry a potential sentence of up to six years. One month later, audio of a 911 call made by Moore’s wife, Kelli Moore, was released, in which she told dispatchers she feared her husband would hurt himself after losing his job, saying he told her he was “trying to kill himself” and was in crisis while driving on a highway.
